I assume in this case that the security data pin/code is still on the eeprom for BSI coding. So what are the impacts on the BSI? Does the three connector ECU use the flash to check the security code/pin, or the eeprom?ĭoes this mean if you write a different file to the flash on any PSA three connector ECU then the immobiliser won't work? Ie, you'd need to always edit the original file if remapping? Single connector had coding for immo/security data on the eeprom. I'm a little confused about how the PIN is stored and used from single connector to three connector ECU's. So the eeprom contains data that is checked against the flash, so the data in the eeprom is like a checksum for the flash data too?
